not coping

Less than one minute read time.
Hi,Everyone, I am not coping at all with this whole cancer thing.I am still so scared of the whole treatment process and I've only had one chemo session.Everyone is being so supportive but I feel they are are only doing it because of my cancer.I have found I have friends I did'nt know I had till all this happened, they all want to come to my my house for a cuppa,if they were my so called friends surely they could have come before I was ill.Any suggestions for coping with the sickness side of the chemo have tried four types of tabs and they did'nt work.Am I just been a whinger or do others feel the same way.Help.

Hi Debbie, Happy Birthday.  You're not  whinging.  I understand you feeling that way though because that's how I feel.  I keep thinking I should cope better but the others here have been very helpful and supportive. I hope the sickness eases soon - I've no idea about that side of it as I've only just diagnosed.

Debbie - hope you had a good day at your daughters. Ice lollies, Ice Cream - whatever you fancy and helps is fine.

    Love Carol xxx

Had` a lovely birthday had a nice tea at my daughter's.Got some nice pressies too.One friend actually got me some wrinkle cream as she said I am not getting any younger (lol).Feel quite good today not felt sick so had some really rubbish food to eat had a happy meal from macdonalds it was bloomin' lovely. It still feels weird to actually think I've had breast cancer and now getting treatment for it,but hey i suppose that's life.Hope everyone doing ok Keep positive and most of all keep smiling. Here's a little something a friend in america sent me I'd thought I'd share it with you all.

SOMETIMES WHEN THINGS ARE'NT GOING RIGHT,

IT CAN BE HARD TO SEE BEYOND TODAY,

TO BELIEVE IN THE PROMISE OF TOMORROW...

BUT IF YOU'LL JUST KEEP LOOKING FOR THAT NEW DAWN

AND REMEMBERING HOW DEEPLY OTHERS CARE ABOUT YOU,

I KNOW YOU'LL FIND MUCH BETTER DAYS AHEAD.

She sent me this cos she went through breast cancer last year and she is now doing ok.

      Take care all.

      luv Debbie (yellow bee) x

Had a bit of a scare today all the lymph glands in my neck  swelled up so ending up going to A+E at the local hospital. At first they thought I was having an allergic reaction to something but that was not the case, then they thought it might be to do with my breast cancer and my bloods were only 0.8 up a bit from 0.4.But in the end they think I have some type of infection in my throat so am on anti biotics and told me if it gets any worse to go back to A+E.Also have got a swelling in my right wrist and on top of my right foot.Has anyone else experienced anything like this while having chemo. How are you  all doing.

    love Debbie x
