    Well I had the appointment and it went ok. I didn't freak out and had a good long chat with the doctor and afterwards we were introduced to my key worker, a lovely lady called Nicole who I can telephone or email with any queries, questions or just a chat.

    Sheffield Weston Park Hospital also have a fantastic Cancer Help and Support Centre which I have been introduced to.

  • First appointment with oncologist

    Well I am here at Weston Park hospital waiting for my first appointment with the oncologist. 

    Just noticed that they are running 60 minutes late but strangely it does not concern me.

     I am desperately trying to keep my anxieties at bay by a combination of getting up every few minutes and walking around and trying to read the Guardian newspaper. 

    It's hot in here and the sweat is pouring off me, only…
