    Apologies for not writing sooner but other things got in the way. 

    Surgery went well. 'Only ' lost 60% whole right lobe. 

    On the mend. Will update when I get home.

    Less than 24 hours before I go under the knife again and my anxiety levels are through the roof. I’m scared of what will be found when they open me up and rescan me. But as I keep telling myself what will be will be. I can’t control it and if they find that they can’t operate then that is what will happen.     I had a lovely trip to Leicester general. It was my birthday and the sun was shining. I was very grateful to my satnav which, although it didn’t warn me that the A6 was closed, did manage to avoid the traffic in Leicester.

  • Birthday Boy! (well nearly)

    It’s my birthday tomorrow. 58!

    And I’m sat here at 2:32 in the morning contemplating what a difference a year makes. This time last year I was a very scared person. I was in pain and had a thousand and one thoughts about what was going on in my body to make me feel so dreadful.

  • Out of Hospital

    I’m finally in a positon, I’m able to sit down for more than 30 seconds before my backside starts to hurt, to write a few lines on my experiences in hospital. As I have mentioned elsewhere I have had a pan proctocolectomy removing my whole large bowel, anus and rectum. I have had what used to be my bum sewn up (hence the issues with sitting down) and I now have a stoma.
