Can’t say I’m terribly impressed with the nurses at the hospital clinic;
So, advice to readers having similar operations; ask every nurse who examines you or removes any stitches to check, re-check and tell you how many stitches they can count. Mine were all bright blue nylon material so it seems ridiculous that nurses should have failed to see them. In the scheme of all that has happened, this is trivial but if stitches are not removed it could lead to later infection. Now I'm more confident they are all gone and expect to be forgetting all about them in a week or so.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
