well mum has been really ill this week not eating and at one point couldnrt even stand up .weare down to shuffling now as she cant walk properly.and it takes two of us to get her on and off commode .the response from the stand in doctor when we phoned on monday was :your not ill ,im sending the district nurse to assess you :(apparently being terminally ill with o.s.cancer doesnt count)the nurse was then overheard saying…

well at last we have had aresult from our gp and they are admitting mum to our local hospice for two weeks to try and get her symptoms under control .x
well everybody the megace is still working and mum is still managing to eat .only liquidised but hey its better than before when she was only eating a pot of yoghurt a day .still cant get her to drink the fortisip because she heard someone say they were no good when she was in hospital last .i keep telling her its all extra calories but shes so stubborn bless her .mind you i think thats what keeps pulling her back from…
mum had district nurse this morning who was concerned about mums very low blood pressure and sodium levels .tried to get her on commode after nurse went with help of my sister but she was too weak .phoned macmillan nurse who liased with d.nurse and ambulance was sent to take mum intohospital .ambulance men had no notes so had to explain what was the matter with her .then got a student doctor and had to explain it all…
