    thi is whats in my dads file about his bowel cancer... ther specialist dosent really explain so we went and read the files so if anyone can shed some light many thanks

    My dad started his chemo treatment on thurs 30th sept of itravenous chemo every 3 week he goes. And also he takes oxaliplatin  and capecitabine tablets 2 wks on 1 off. the side effects sarted pretty much straight away.. well the main one of the Freezing cold hands. He has his gloves on all the tme. We are wonder  how long this lasts???    Does it eventually fade away or will it stay throughout the treatment.. thanks

    Well everything moving along at least with the hospital and them bothering to do something.. Dad has his appointment with the chemo team today to sort out what treatment he will be getting, also on fri hes seeing the specialist about his operation for a stent to be put in. So fingers crossed

    My dad had the camera's down him belly and also up.. with in a few minutes we knew  they had found something  as the Dr could not  go any further. right there and then he said it was "Cancer" Like that no explanation just the big C. biopsies where taken and were sent off to check but was told surgery would be happening by the 16th.
