    I had my MRI and CT Scans today at the Lister in Steveange.

    Couldn't decide what CD to take, took 3:

    James Taylor's - Greatest Hits
    Matchbox Twenty - Exile on Main Street
    Keane - Hopes and Fears

    Decided to go with James Taylor, It was quite noisy and hard to hear, should have taken Linkin Park!

    Saturday 7th November 2009

    Went back with my wife to see the consultant, he is being very positive that they will be able to removed the cancer and re-connect my colon to the rectum again. Hopefully age is only my side as I was only 50 in April and I haven't really had many symptons.

    Monday 9th November 2009

    I had a team meeting with my department and told them the news, spoke to a few other people. All were supportive and positive

    Found it hard to concentrate on work, felt really tired. Hopefully it is just stress.

    Still wanting to hear about the date for the MRI and CAT scans

  • The flexible sigmoidoscopy

    Friday 6th November 2009 will be a day I will never forget.

    I had a flexible sigmoidoscopy at Pinehill Hospital in Hitchin. They found an 'abnormality" near the bottom of the colon, just above the rectum.

    Hopefully is early stage and has not spread.

    Going back to see the consultant on Saturday morning to get more information and to get  CAT scan and MRI scan arranged. I will also need a full Colonoscopy to…
