At long last I feel like I am getting somewhere with my eating.  It has been a very frustrating business so far.  Finally I have put some weight on and the Dietician has agreed that I may reduce my pump feeds from 4 to 3 a day.  I am finding that I am able to eat a little bit more each week.  At the moment I am having half a bowl of Special K cereal, half a banana and a Muller Fruit Corner Yogurt for lunch.  Then in the evening…

Just back from the hospital for my check up.  Saw my Consultant and my Oncologist.  They both seemed pretty pleased with me.  There is still swelling in my neck and throat and round the base of the tongue, but it is down enough that I am now ready to be scanned.  I will be having a PET Scan as they say this will show things up best.  Unfortunately they don't have a PET Scanner there, the nearest one is 80 miles away.

I think that I have a little bit more energy.  I go to bed now at 10pm, at the beginning of the recovery it was 8pm.  I rarely…

We went out early yesterday morning to collect my hearing aids.   My team had arranged for me to collect them from the local hospital, which was great as it saved the usual long journey.  I’d never been inside there before.  It’s a tiny little hospital, about the same size as the Oncology Department that I usually go to.

I find the hearing aid technology fascinating.  There were loads of things happening on a…
