  • Removal of feeding tube & good news about ears!

    Today is a very special and important day for me, the biggest milestone so far.  The feeding tube (PEG) was put in on 8th April 2013.  8 months and 15 days later it’s been removed.  The nurse came round my house to perform the procedure.  All I had to do was provide was hot water, soap and towels.  Those words remind me of the TV programme “All Creatures Great And Small”.  I’ve been enjoying watching the repeats…

    I am so excited.  I can't remember the last time I experienced such happiness and contentment.  I am going to make sure I have meltdowns more often as they seem to work wonders. 

    The feeding tube is coming out on December 23rd !!!!!!

    I am off to listen to some of my favourite music at full blast.  There will probably be a bit of singing and dancing too.

    Hi everyone.  Just a quick update to say I am fine and my house was not flooded.  However since the floods I have had no Broadband connection, so I am struggling to do much online as the reception with my mobile dongle is hopeless.  Thanks for all my messages, I am thinking of you all and I will be back in touch as soon as I can.  xx

    I am not having a good day today.  Where shall we start?  Let’s begin with Christmas.   We decided weeks ago to cancel Christmas.  It seemed such a good idea at the time.  There has now been a change of plan.  We have realised that we do have to send cards because it’s going to be the best way to acknowledge all the messages that need replying to.  Gifts do have to be sent because we can’t be mean to children and…
