Bank Holiday... well, what can you say about it??

2 minute read time.

Well, it's mostly raining so it MUST be a bank holiday ;) What are you lovely lot up to? Hopefully, chilling out :))

Looking forward to a few things this week ... coffee at Lynne's Wed morning before I have tubes flushed (haha not for long!!) and then coffee and catch up with LM on Wednesday after we have both had our appointments... haven't seen each other since before we both went in for ops and transplants so we can have a more relaxed coffee and not pretend we're not scared haha :)) Thursday my favourite midwife is taking me to lunch!! How spoiled am I?

I was moaning about how long it will take to get check up etc and suddenly we're already 1 week into May which means it's only 6 weeks til I go to the Heath again?! I'll try to remember this week when I'm down the Windsor suite being flushed, to ask if I'll be having scans etc or if they can just tell from bloods, which seems unlikely to me but then who knows! Saying SHUSH to the What-If's because I can't be worrying about nonsense like that for the next 6/7 weeks!

My legs are now normal, apart from the mottled skin, but at least I don't look like some frantic skin-shedding freak any more ;-) I'm putting cream on my hands and face as they are stil a bit dry. My energy levels are still low but much better and I can pootle around more now. Looking forward to doing stuff in the summer now, when I'll be even more 'myself' ;)

I have a house full of my free range teens and their boyfriends today! Deri is lurking with Broni and hers coz they are watching Harry Potter and I am in my room with my feet up on the sofa :)) Megz wants to go clothes shopping and Ben doesn't and they don't know what else to do so they've ended up cleaning and clearing her room hahaha! If only it wasn't raining, I'd have them mowing the VERY overgrown lawn ;)

My mother had some tests and it seems it is not angina which is good, but her lungs aren't functioning properly so probably get more pills! Bryan's hip hurts lots so we need to get him to the GP coz he's beinga 'bloke' and won't go; Aunti Phyl (Bry's last living relative at 93 yrs old) is deteriorating and so they're going to check on her, in Devon, tomorrow..she won't go into hospital in case she doesn't come back out bless her. So sending all of them healing hugs and blesings too!

The donations for the Race for Life keep increasing! HUGE thank you's to everyone for being so generous... I am looking forward to it very much!!

Broni went on a school trip yesterday... a behind the scenes tour of the Harry Potter studios! 100's of fab photos, she loved it and occasionally squealed with delight apparently! They drank butterbeer too. Well worth going to!

I think a nap might be in order, although it'll be light coz Deri is lurking!

Love and cwtchs to all xxxxxx

Eh, it's a rainy day and a Monday, so the rest is inevitable. I'm glad you're improving - well, not you yourself, how can you improve on perfection, but your broken bits - and hope that very soon we'll be hearing the all clear.

I'm only 5' 2"; do you think I could pass as a schoolkid? I can't think of any other way I might get to go on the Harry Potter tour. I can't really complain about school trips, my school took us to see Julius Caesar at Stratford and She Stoops to Conquer (a surprisingly dodgy choice) at Drury Lane. I didn't appreciate either of them as much as I should have at the time, of course, but eh. Kids!

Hugs and good wishes to all your poorly relatives. I'm a bit worried about Judy, who has a really bad cough, just the latest in a series of minor-by-themselves-but-they-add-up ailments; I'm afraid she might be running herself down looking after me. I try not to be too much of a nuisance, but there's not much you can do about a panic attack in the middle of the night.

A nap sounds good, but we need to get out of the house, if only to go and buy a loaf of bread - just for the sake of not being indoors all day.

It sounds as if you have a lot of nice things lined up, as well as horrid treatment, which can't be helped and which I hope will make you well. Enjoy the good things!

    Lots of love

I am rather excited about Wednesday... well, the second bit of it seeing you again...  the bone scan I can take or leave and I still have no idea why they keep sending me to random hospitals in Wales for these things, but they upside is that you somehow seem to be either near or on the way back from all of them :)

Yay to free range teens free ranging aorund the place, though shouldn't they be outside at least cutting that grass, if not grazing it? They might lose their free range status otherwise... ;)

Its amazing how time flies when you are not having fun too!! I can't believe its been so long! which means its over 2 months since we saw eachother!!

Hope your family are better soon. Shouldn't be so many all ill at once!!

Enjoy your nap and Hilary, enjoy getting your loaf of bread. I got as far as the greenhouse to water my seedlings and now back inside... raining again.

All the hugs to my fave Welsh sis

I actually went for a walk with the dog to stop Deri wilting from boredom, and she was a dragon called Wildfire who rescued me from being lost in the woods and then we carried a couple of fallen branches (thin and light for kindling before you lot start admonishing me!), well more like twigs really home and deri's longest one was swishing along behind her as her dragon's tail and was chopping down any trees in my way, then it began to raina again so I'm on my second hot cross bun of the day and lying on a sofa again :)))

Ah Hils, you have named my three favourite programmes, apart from Willo'the Wisp! I can't get Deri into Ivor but she likes Bagpuss. PAH to perfection!! But HUGE hugs for such a delicious compliment :))))
I am hoping there'll be no more treatment now, just lots of checkups (fingers crossed). I think you can go on the tour without being a schoolkid, so I reckon it should be a summer treat for you ;)

LM< it IS rather useful that they send you to hospitals that require you to drive near to me :)) 2 months eh? Blimey.

    HUGS to all xxxxxxxxxxxx

Yep, another dreary Bank Holiday ........ and as Hilary said, it's Monday. Well it's been rather windy here and we did have rain earlier, but it's looking a bit brighter just now ...... have you ever noticed that it often improves towards the end of the day ? Not to worry 'cause I have spent most of it being a bit lazy and got back into my comfies around mid afternoon ( I cut the lawns and tidied the gardens yesterday ) so no guilt feelings. But I wouldn't say no to having some free range teens doing it for me !

Glad that you enjoyed the walk with Deri and the dog ....... shame about the rain. Ah, Bagpuss - he is adorable and the Clangers were lovely with their funny whistles !

Good luck with the upcoming checks and so on, Ems ........ not what we really want, but they have to be done ( and yes, they certainly come round quickly ! ) But soonest here, the soonest done and dusted  - and have a lovely catch up coffee with LM ! All best wishes to your poorly family members too.

    Love and hugs, Joycee xxx
