  • My Diary --Rays scan results

    We sat and waited until the Doctor found this morning (this is all new to us waiting for a Consultation on the phone, the medical world has changed hasn't it)
    When the phone finally rang the Doctor told Ray he has not got Mesothelioma but has got Air pockets and scaring in the lungs and Chronic Pulmonary Edema,  Emphysema and has to be tested on a Spirometry to see how much Lung capacity he has but his appointment…
  • My Diary ---Rays scan results are with the Doctor

    A letter arrived today to ask Ray to make a telephone consultation appointment, the doctor has had the results.

    He made the appointment and its tomorrow.

    Here we go again the waiting does you in as you don't and cant concentrate on anything else.

    This really is mental torture at times. I hope its not bad news I don't want Ray to go through all that I have been through.

  • My diary--Snow in Spain and Italy --what is happening?

    Oh dear on a forum today when a man asked what should he do about pulling down an asbestos roofed building men have replied that it isn't dangerous and telling stories of how they have worked with asbestos etc etc and nothing has happened to them.

    I'm so surprised at the ignorance of the subject and that they don't seem to realise it takes years to find out your lungs have been harmed.

  • My Diary they have taken our lamp posts

    Gosh when is this wind going to stop bringing the Icy blast from the North, everyday its the same cold and today was cloudy as well.

    The washing dried though.

    We have walked with the dog today but something strange happened.

    As we were walking along we passed Council workmen sawing off the lamp posts and taking them away, they have left the stumps wrapped in yellow tape.

  • My Diary--- A great sunday walk

    The night temperature had been at -6C which meant the pond was frozen over and all the water butts had a thick layer of ice, we really are having a cold time of it for march.
    The sun was up early and the wind was freezing so we waited until midday to go for a good Sunday walk.
    They have built a new footpath by Seasalter's old church and you walk on a tiny bridge first to get over a stream. We had taken Louis ball and…
