My diary--Snow in Spain and Italy --what is happening?

Less than one minute read time.

Oh dear on a forum today when a man asked what should he do about pulling down an asbestos roofed building men have replied that it isn't dangerous and telling stories of how they have worked with asbestos etc etc and nothing has happened to them.

I'm so surprised at the ignorance of the subject and that they don't seem to realise it takes years to find out your lungs have been harmed.

We have been trying to find out about the street lighting and even our neighbourhood watch hadn't realised hat the lamp posts have been cut off---it's still a mystery.

It was a cloudy day and just a smidgen warmer as the wind had dropped but it has snowed in Barcelona and Italy so it shows how cold it is this year.

It makes our walk on the beach today almost spring as the sun came out and warmed us up today.

Dinner was vegetarian burgers and bacon and they were not to bad really with a stir

All the idiots who say think asbestos is harmless should meet mesothelioma sufferers and their families.

I think I should go into business as an asbestos remover. By the time it catches up with me I will be long dead. OK poor taste joke but you get my point.

For a moment Mavis, I thought that you had teleported to Barcelona!

I suspect that the local authority is selling the lamp posts for scrap themselves - justifying their actions by saying it will save energy!  You should, of course, get a reduction in your Council Tax bills ... loss of amenities ...

Can it really be that there is still such ignorance about asbestos?  What a world!

    Take care.  xx
