My Diary--- A great sunday walk

1 minute read time.
The night temperature had been at -6C which meant the pond was frozen over and all the water butts had a thick layer of ice, we really are having a cold time of it for march.
The sun was up early and the wind was freezing so we waited until midday to go for a good Sunday walk.
They have built a new footpath by Seasalter's old church and you walk on a tiny bridge first to get over a stream. We had taken Louis ball and he had a great time chasing and collecting his ball in the field as we walked up to a new estate they have built called Estuary View where they also have built a Health Centre.
We found our way to the old Thanet Way and walked in the wonderful sunshine to a fish restaurant where there is a pathway by the side of it and followed the path and then the roadway round.
At Valkyrie Road you get such wonderful view's of the sea from there.

A different view of Whitstable from Sandpiper Road

The Isle of Sheppy and you can just see Southend

We carried on walking down Sandpiper to the end and then through the Alleyway back to the church and then back in doors.

Coffee was soon on the table and a sit down to get our breath back that had been a great 2 hours and the dog crashed out on the floor.

Had a great Avocado salad for dinner with new potatoes and I had bought real mint to flavour them.

Sat back and watched a little television and soon will be time to take the dog on his last walk around the park.

A good day today.
