One month on

1 minute read time.

It has been a month since my dear Hubby drew his last breath, and cancer gained another victory :-(

I am missing him very much.

Silly little things, like telling him about something that happened, or getting him to help fill in forms (which I wouldn't need to be doing anyway if he hadn't have gone - but thats beside the point) paperwork was never my strong point, mind you nor was housework!

Also having someone else there to back you up with the kids when they don't do as they are told, on a plus side they are being helpful some of the time like offering to put the vacum cleaner round the floor.

Having to think about making arrangements to go out, as need to find someone to sit the children. Or worse having to do housework so people can come to my house rather than me go out.

During the day it's not so bad, except he doesn't keep phoning me to check how to spell things. But the nights when the kids are in bed and it is so quiet is worse. The number of times I have been watching something on TV and then gone to discuss it with Hubby.

Good job I have the "Warped" gang to keep me sane :-)

    Hi Sue,

Well, what quite sane replies from the loony lot above you've got.  See we may be warped, but we are sincere sensitive souls and we care and love you dearly,  (((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) and support and laughter we can bring to you always.

    Take care

Ooooh Sue, I think you need to go to Brighton pronto... take the kids, they have beach there too so I've heard. I just saw that I corrected the word beach as I wrote beech and that was a tree last I looked and not quite so much fun for kids... Hey kids we are going to the beech today :)

I might be needing your word breaking down prowess sooner than I thought....

Oh and chairs for sitting on? I suggest you get new friends... ones with anal cancer. We don't do sitting so understand using chairs as places to put stuff.

As there are not many of us and we smell a bit... as to the friends and family you have got....If they are good people they understand and put the toys away for you, if they are not good people, then they can't sit down so won't stay long which is a good thing... so win -win to having crap on the chairs... (not that kind of crap, unless you did have the anal cancer group round) and I am tempted after that pen you showed me... wince, ouch, ow, etc

More big hugs to you and wishing you speed to the time of  good memories and smiles.

Ahh thank you for your messages.

LM, the beach at Brighton is all stones (apart from the token gesture square of sand). Also at this time of year a little on the chilly side - for me, the kids don't mind.

Brighton is about a 2 hour drive from us, though it wouldn't take much to tempt me into going just to visit a chocolate shop. When I was pregnant with my first child we drove to Brighton for Fish and Chips by the sea :-)

    (((((((((Hugs)))))))))) to all

Brighton used to be an hour's train ride from where we lived - and, I presume, still is. Did we ever go? Did we heck.

(I was going to say 'did we buggery'. See how I've grown!)

Why are they making Easter eggs? Last I looked, it was October. I know I sleep a lot, but surely not that much!

You could take your kids to the beech. I used to love climbing trees, though you wouldn't think it to look at me now.

Cleaning house: it's true, the people who matter won't mind, and the people who mind don't matter - I love that saying, it absolutely hits the nail on the head and, speaking of spelling, I typed 'the neil on the head' there - but, if you're anything like me, you want the house to be clean and tidy for your own sake, never mind the visitors. (Hint: mine isn't. I'm going to have to wait till Judy's out, then do a sneaky hoover.)

Warped but caring: that's us. I think it's sad that there were people who didn't understand that, but let's not start dragging that up again.

In conclusion: *hugs* I can send hugs, and I can talk nonsense. Those are my not-so-superpowers.

There not making Easter eggs at the shop at the moment, it was a recorded programme being shown through the seasons. They did a really cool Halloween window last week.

They also do cakes decorated with chocolate, which look really cool. But I'm not sure I could afford them. They are making a cake for Boy George's 50th B'day tonight at 10:30pm on Good Food network.

Hey LM, you should put it on for P, might help chear him up :-)
