    One thing I've learned as a cancer patient is patience. Everything seems to take so long. I've had two visits to Harefield Hospital now. The first to Dr Mcgonigle following the referral from Dr Mukherjee. He said he didn't know why I'd been referred to him as he doesn't do radio frequency ablation (RFA).     Good news - liver tumour not seen on scan. Tumour in rectus muscle not mentioned on scan report (I still think I can feel it though).

    Bad news - three little tumours in my right lung. 

    Appointment with oncologist. Three options. Do nothing (really??), referral to Dr Mark Middleton at Oxford to see if there are phase 1 trials - downside is that these are usually to determine tolerable doses and therefore could make…

    I'm pasting this from my profile as I don't want to type it all again, or go into detail of how I got to where I am.

    I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in August 2007 when I was 45. I had chemo and radiotherapy (causing an early menopause) to shrink the tumour before it was removed in December 2007. I started chemo in Feb 2008. In January 2010 I was told I had a secondary tumour in each lung. One was removed…
