Had a call from national blood service today to remind me of my appointment to donate my 68th pint next week, I had to tell them about to start chemo and could they put my file on hold for a while.  I was really surprised and gutted when they told me I would no longer be able to give blood and "thank you for the last 19 years of donations".

Given everything we go through with BC, ops, chemo, radio, hormone therapy…

    Hi

Am now four weeks post wide local excision after BC diag. 6th Jan. After three aspirations to remove lymphatic fluid, two weeks of antibiotics have been told due to slight infection still can't see my Dr to sort out date for FEC chemo, soooo frustrating.  I feel very well and am anxious to get chemo started (no I'm not weird just want to get it out of the way) :)  Today saw my lovely BC nurse who told me had…

    Hi,

I'm two weeks post surgery after have wide local excision and lymph node removal for BC.  The problem is that my lymphatic system is all confused and the area where they used to be keeps filling up with fluid.  Have had three aspirations now and my nurse (and I) not keen to keep sticking a needle in and draining.  Have been told this will sort its self out eventually, has anyone else had this problem?

    Thanks
