Cording anyone???

Less than one minute read time.

Hi

Am now four weeks post wide local excision after BC diag. 6th Jan. After three aspirations to remove lymphatic fluid, two weeks of antibiotics have been told due to slight infection still can't see my Dr to sort out date for FEC chemo, soooo frustrating.  I feel very well and am anxious to get chemo started (no I'm not weird just want to get it out of the way) :)  Today saw my lovely BC nurse who told me had some cording under my armpit and on my arm joint.  She told me to firmly massage and they will eventually SNAP!!!!! yuk, she said this wouldn't hurt. Has anyone else been through this, any tips please??  Thanks x

    Hi,

I know exactly hwere you are coming from, I had cording after my lumpectomy and then mastectomy, I was told by my nurse about the SNAP, I eventually did it myself by taking some painkillers and then pulling on the skin and the snal is more like a pop, a bit painful but the release is an immediate one. I have just finished my first 3 courses of FEC and have another 3 courses of a different chemo to go so hang in there it is doable.

    take care love Terri xxx
