Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

Less than one minute read time.

So here I am , I have secondary breast cancer and I am living with it. All I really want is to be able to have a semblence of a normal life where cancer doesn't creep into my conscious thought at the drop of a hat. And I may be one step closer to that, well for the time being anyway. I had a hospital appointment today and was told my last bone scan showed no new areas of disease and I do not need to go back to the hospital for three months!!! Ok so I have to carry on taking the meds but so what that really is no big deal. A second celebration is just around the corner. As of the 2nd June I will have been back at work for a whole year! Gosh time is positively flying by..Oh, I am fully aware that this is just a lull in the diseases progress, but long may the lull last.

Take each milestone in your stride, enjoy each day as best you can and remember whatever life throws at you, you are in charge. I hope you get all you wish for and can't wait to see what you write in a years time. Good Luck.

I am living with secondary stomach cancer, I had hoped to be in remission for a bit longer but I live my life from day to day and enjoy every damn minute of it. Enjoy that 1st years at work with a drink and the same on the 2nd year. Great news on your scan chic. You take care..love Carolx

  • Three months - time to enjoy the summer! Hope you continue to keep the beast under control. How are the driving lessons going?
