Time contiues to fly by.. I cannot believe that I will be having the second round of this chemo on Wednesday. And I am really chuffed that I have only missed two and a half daysa off work. The side effects of the chemo have not been too bad, they all seemed to happen in the first few days and then apart from the general tiredness they seemed tosettle down. It is strange having numb fingertips though!
Last Saturday it was my birthday and as my hair had started to fall out I thought it time to shave it all off and with the help of my young granddaughter I did it. So On Monday off I went to work thinking it will be easy to keep a hat on through the day. Hah! I forgot to take into consideration the heat generated not only by the central heating system but also by the bodies of 30 children. By playtime I was dripping! Something Had to be done.. the hat had to come off! I gathered my next class of children together and explained what was happening, they can all remember my first encounter with the big C. And off came the hat! Infact since then it has been off every day..... and not one of the kids inschool has been phased by my baldness...in fact some of the littlies just think it is my new haircut!
Now I wonder what they will think of my wig???
Take care all xx
