Have to admit that the first chemo wasn't too bad. Was in work this morning, which really took my mind off what was to come..... you cannot be preoccupied when teaching children ! Only had a short wait at the chemo unit and .. joy of joys... cannula went in first attempt! No steroids needed, no anti-sickness meds given, so should be able to sleep tonight. The side effects with this chemo are supposed to be quite mild so I have my fingers crossed that I will not be affected by them too much. And it is back to the unit in three weeks for the next round.
