And it was all going so well.

Less than one minute read time.
After completing the first week of radiotherapy, Peter had a heart attack on Saturday 29.03.14. Its best I don't even try to describe the diagnosis treatment and care he received at two local hospitals !!!!!!!!! The subsequent days and nights were distressing and frustrating, which resulted in our youngest daughter and myself bringing Peter to The Marsden on Monday ,thank goodness we did as he had been completely misdiagnosed . However onwards we go. He is now under the care of The Royal Brompton, Chemo has been stopped, Radiotherapy continues to minimise GI bleed risk as RBH need to give high dose anticoagulants Peter is quite nauseas and sick, very tired but not in pain His care is excellent here and a planning meeting is convened for next Tuesday with RMH &RBH when all test results are in.

Oh Mushty, my heart sank as I read this. I am so sorry that you both have had to deal with this, and in particular the obviously distressing few days afterwards. However, Peter is now in the best possible place, and receiving the best care and attention. You must be physically and mentally exhausted yourself, and I hope that you are able to take some time out to rest. You will be constantly in my thoughts, and everything crossed for Tuesday's meeting.

The largest hugs possible to you both xx

Hi Mushty, thought I would just drop by your blog and am sorry to hear this setback. I know how frustrating the DGHs can be and pleased you took action to move Peter to the best possible place. At least with such excellent care this should relieve a little of the anxiety. You guys are in my thoughts and I know you will get through.

    Big hugs to you all,

So sorry to hear your news & i hope they sort his sickness. My partner has syringe driver with metroclopramide & levopromazine in it to help him. Maybe yr hubby could have the same if you ask? He also takes metroclopramide, Ondansatron & ciclazone orally. The sickness is the worst for him. Wishing you all the best x

I was so sad to read your news.  I knew you had been silent for a few days but I hoped this was a sign of stability rather than another problem cropping up.  I hope that Peter continues to be pain free and that his nausea is easing.  I'm sure everyone's thoughts will be with you on Tuesday and I hope that once more you can regroup and keep on battling.
