  • White cells better (just!) so had 4th chemo yesterday

    Very pleased to be treated as I'd had a weeks delay due to low neutrophils (0.3). In the last week I noticed an enlarged lymph node just under my jaw and thought I could feel another under my left arm. Very worried about this but I knew there was nothing to be done as I couldn't be treated.

  • Low white cells again on ABVD chemo

    Couldn't have my ABVD chemo today, white cells very low again. I'm disappointed but as this is the second time it looks like I'll be having the growth hormone injections to boost the bone marrow. The white cell should be back up to treatment level by next week (they were last time). I've only had 3 treatments but it seems to happen on the first of each pair, ie 1a and 2a, the centre I go to says this is…

  • Sore arm after chemo

    I've been quite tired for the first week after chemo, more so than before but still able to get out for a walk most days. Can't help noticing that I walk at a much slower pace than I used to; I don't like to hold the rest of the family up so I prefer to walk on my own now.

    I've also had a sore arm where the chemo was given. Nothing to see (minimal swelling, no redness or heat) so I assume just inflamed, probably…

    Feeling as if I just want to take things easy but not feeling unwell. Just have to wait and see what side effects appear this time.

    Hi, I'm new to the site.I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma stage 2a almost nine weeks ago. So far I have had two lots of ABVD chemotherapy and I'm feeling OK. I've joined the site because I would like to know how other people are coping both with the experience of having cancer and with their treatment.
