Very pleased to be treated as I'd had a weeks delay due to low neutrophils (0.3). In the last week I noticed an enlarged lymph node just under my jaw and thought I could feel another under my left arm. Very worried about this but I knew there was nothing to be done as I couldn't be treated.
Spoke to the consultant during my treatment, very much appreciated him taking time to come and see me. I'll now have the G-CSF growth hormone injections for 3 days before each chemo. Thanks to everyone who gave me comments and tips about these .I have a pre-assessment appointment in a week so I can ask any questions about it then and feel much better about the low white cells now.
Also, I've had no pain at all in the arm following the chemo. I kept it really warm under a heat pad during treatment. I've got a couple of fleece sleeves cut from an old fleece jacket so kept them on for the evening and have had no problem. Last chemo I didn't keep the arm warm and it was really sore so just giving all this detail in case anyone else has the same problem.
