Blogging again

1 minute read time.

Why do we blog?  Who is going to read the stuff we write anyway.  And does it matter?

I don't get many replies to my blogs so I have no idea how many readers have read and passed on to the next thing.  Just now I came across someone else's blog and it touched my heart.  Different subject entirely but I felt I might have something to say. So I replied to the blog entry.

Yesterday was a good day, less pain, walking around the house without a crutch and doing more generally.  Today not good at all.  Pain back but in a slightly different place.  Phoned the GP surgery for my latest PSA result and found it (the PSA) had doubled again.  Due to see Dr Oncologist next week and so I wonder what he may have to offer this time.  Decapeptyl injections obviously useless as they permitted my PSA to rise after stopping bicalutamide.  How could a little liquid shot into a buttock once in 3 months possibly hold The Enemy in check?  Switch on the magic rays?

Highlight of the day talking with some people I hadn't seen in ages, outside the village pharmacy.  They asked after my crutches and I gave my standard reply "stress fracture of my pelvis".  We moved on to othe things with lots of laughter.  The dreaded C did not come up to cloud the day.  I think this is the best way for me and leaves people free to talk with me about life and laughter.

Feel better for just blogging.  If you haven't, try it!

Hi David.  Just to let you know you have at least one reader.  I might only comment now and then but I always follow your blog.  I suspect there are a lot of people out there just reading the blogs and not commenting.  However all that really matters is that we feel better by blogging so I'm glad to hear it's helping you.  You're quite right, more people should try it!

Two readers at least !! lol

Blogging does help, it gets it out of my system.

It is my hubby with the dreaded c word but I hate it when people ask me about it. I have to live with it and deal with it so I don't want to talk about it to others as well so I agree with you.

I'll go there now and blogg... if I can work out how to get there again !! lol

Make that three...... I am not good at continually  telling people how we are doing but our friends know if we drop off the radar they can find us here and get a flavor of how things are without needing to contact us.

That probably seems very insular but we are fine if we just chug along without having to re-asure others we are o.k

Plus I want to be able to read back over our journey when Peter has gone 'Home' so I am sure that the journey wasn't all bad

Best Wishes. Keep Blogging Mushty XX

Thank you so much, Margaret, Zebady and Mushty.  Now I won't worry any more, just keep blogging.  Please know that your replies always help me a lot and you have all helped to turn a down-day to end as an up one.

    Thanks again.

Dave, it has taken me a while to find your blog, lucky that I have so much time onmy hands eh? My blog is just to keep all my friends and rellys up to date when they want to be updated. I don't want to force my illness, troubles and woes on them by text email or phone, especially not at christmas time. It will also be a presonal collection of my thought and feelings as I continue on this journey (back to hopefully full health and life as normal). Good luck with your challenges that lie ahead and do keep blogging.
