Blogging again

1 minute read time.

Why do we blog?  Who is going to read the stuff we write anyway.  And does it matter?

I don't get many replies to my blogs so I have no idea how many readers have read and passed on to the next thing.  Just now I came across someone else's blog and it touched my heart.  Different subject entirely but I felt I might have something to say. So I replied to the blog entry.

Yesterday was a good day, less pain, walking around the house without a crutch and doing more generally.  Today not good at all.  Pain back but in a slightly different place.  Phoned the GP surgery for my latest PSA result and found it (the PSA) had doubled again.  Due to see Dr Oncologist next week and so I wonder what he may have to offer this time.  Decapeptyl injections obviously useless as they permitted my PSA to rise after stopping bicalutamide.  How could a little liquid shot into a buttock once in 3 months possibly hold The Enemy in check?  Switch on the magic rays?

Highlight of the day talking with some people I hadn't seen in ages, outside the village pharmacy.  They asked after my crutches and I gave my standard reply "stress fracture of my pelvis".  We moved on to othe things with lots of laughter.  The dreaded C did not come up to cloud the day.  I think this is the best way for me and leaves people free to talk with me about life and laughter.

Feel better for just blogging.  If you haven't, try it!

Thanks Dave for coming back.  At one time I did consider calling myself "Dave the Rave" but decided against it!  Keep blogging and I'll be reading you though I may not always post a reply.

Good luck on your journey back to full health. I'll come with you if the oncologists can find some better amunition to fire at my personal PCa enemy.  Will have a chance to ask them next Friday 6 December.

    Cheers to you and yours,
