Well, what a bloody day yesterday was! My son went into hospital to have his pre-op IV meds. Left him unpacking and sorting himself out (my laptop to play football manager game on) portable DVD player and assorted DVDs, magazines, etc, and we went downstairs to Oncology clinic to find out the result of last week's PET scan. Been plagued with pains in my hip for the past 6 weeks or so, which as you know, always plays havoc…

Started off today in tears reading Ribbsie's post about her sister dying. This bastard disease. Well, my son goes in on Friday to have 3 days of intravenous blood-pressure controlling drugs before his op on Monday. We saw the surgeon yesterday, and the date for the op is 29th June. It will be a massive op - and we all came out of the hospital feeling pretty hopeless. But today, I want to talk about support. Now there's one thing about me that can be good - but can also…

I want to say thank you to everybody who read my blog and took the trouble to comment. It helps - it definitely does. My husband, my mum and I have been round their flat today, as they are moving on Saturday to a new flat, and we are helping them clean, etc. Doing something practical for him really helps - so I stopped at Tesco's on the way and bought them good, healthy food so he can build himself up. He's like a beanpole…
