I have just found out that a member of my family has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. We are related by marriage and she isnt a close family member but I am going to give her a call later to give her my love. All we know is she is having radiotherapy so hopefully everything is in its early stages and she has a good outlook. Also my aunt who I am quite close to has had problems with breast lumps throughout her life…

Its been a bit of a quiet week/weekend really. Since having my treatment on Tuesday I have had a funny head, not quite a headache, its hard to describe. I used to get it when I was on Herceptin before so I know its normal but it makes me feel a bit poo.  I was so bored yesterday with the blasted rain just did a bit of housework and made some mince pies. Pastry isnt my strong suit so I only made 8 as I didnt want to waste…

    Hi all,

Hope everyone is feeling good on this lovely wintery Monday morning. I had a fab weekend with family and friends round Saturday night to watch fireworks and a little BBQ. So we lit the barbie and did sausages, burgers and baked potatoes to keep us all warm. Then did some marshmallow…

Had my clinic appointment today.  Bit disappointed my usual onc was off sick and I had lots of things to ask her but the stand in was fine. My CT shows the tumours have/are shrinking and the Muga result is good enough for me to carry on with the Herceptin.  As you can imagine I was thrilled to bits. So I have another 3 months then some more scans etc but its all good just now.

Hope everyone else is ok too

    Love Chrissi…
