    It's been a funny old day today and I've veered between OK and panic stricken. I'm always better when I'm doing something constructive so decided to investigate the possibilities of any care that might be available to Mum when things get tough.     I know it's been a while since I wrote on this blog but things seemed to have moved at quite a pace and time has gone by so fast.

    Mum had her op with an epidural as they said she was too frail for a general anaesethtic and  she made a good recovery after a couple of days in hospital. Today we had to go to the hospital for the results of her op and details of any treatment plans. Sadly the tumour had invaded the muscle…

  • Mum's bladder cancer

    My Mum was diagnosed with bladder cancer  3 weeks ago now and it has been a very emotional time as we walk along the path towards her op.

    She is 91 and is obviously fearful about her physical ability to cope with whatever lies ahead but at the same time she shows a remarkable strength of character. She has been for her pre-op assessment which I know she found quite gruelling as they covered 9 decades of health matters…
