So the oncologist decided to put me on an accelerated protocol of 4 doses of EC over 8 weeks followed by 12 doses of paxataxil (I know this is the wrong spelling) over 12 weeks.
The first dose was on 18th June which went well - just the side effects to look forward to!
I feel I got off lightly with the nausea, presumably thanks to the meds I was sent home with. Got awful acid indigestion though :-(

Well I had my mastectomy on 10th May which went as well as can be expected. Turns out me and general anaesthetic don't mix!
Onwards we went - now had two aspirations for seroma but otherwise everything seems to be going okay.
Had my first meeting with my oncologist on 25th May, was told of the chemo treatment plan being either a) 6 cycles over 18 weeks or b) 4 cycles over 8 weeks followed by 4 cycles over 12 weeks…
So I had all my scans and, at my consultant meeting on 15th April, it was confirmed that there is no sign of cancer anywhere else - yippee.
The decision has been that I need a mastectomy with full axillary node removal and reconstruction, only problem is the local NHS unit cannot fit me in for surgery until June - really????
Apparently, due to full lists and leave they are currently offering most cases surgery in mid…
