I have just been diagnosed with uterine cancer.. Feeling extremely scared, anxious & vunerable at the moment.. Waisting for the Marsden to be in touch.. I’m looking at a hysterectomy & then chemo… Any help in feeling with this would be much appreciated.
I don't know the details of your condtion but it's always better to take things slowly! Take each day at a time and protect yourself from too much outside stimulation, in the form of too much information at this stage. Self-care is important when you are awaiting the result of tests. Lean on your family, partner and keep busy - but not manic! Get outside, walk and de-stress until the hospital has been in touch. You can of course talk to the Mc Millan Nurses online, which may help if things get too difficult. It's not a sprint, but a marathon and you need to conserve your energy.
This is a very treatable cancer though - as many women on this site will attest to, so sending hugs to you....
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
