All seems a bit surreal tbh - on 2 Aug I had no inkling that there was anything like this about to be unveiled, then I had examination on 3 August and it's been a whirlwind of scans, tests, appointments and a surgery date of 22/9. Every day's a school day, they say, and it's proving to be true...

I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis of cancer. I remember everything happening quickly as well. It can feel overwhelming at the time.
It is good that you have been given your date for surgery and it is not too far ahead- enough time to prepare but not too long to worry. My surgery was in 2022 and was straight forward. I had little pain, stayed in for one night and recovered well at home. I did have some chemo and radiotherapy afterwards and am now 4 years post treatment.
I am sure you will find this forum supportive and if there is anything you want to ask about, please do so. There are many lovely ladies on here who have been where you are now and will understand. We also have the Support Line available from 8am-8pm everyday if you feel like talking things through would help.
