My GP referred me urgently in March due to post menopausal bleeding and pelvic pain. Had ultrasound which showed thickness of 6mm. Had an appointment with Gynae at the start of May where they could not carry out a pipelle biopsy due to scarring from an ablation 15 years ago. They did remove a polyp which came back as inflamed but nothing to worry about.
i got sent for an MRI which showed nothing concerning and referred for Hysteroscopy.
I had to attend the GP as the pelvic pain is getting quite persistent and some days are quite painful and resulted in having to take a couple of days off work. GP has prescribed Nefopam which helps but does not stop the pain. Only had a couple of spots of bleeding the last few months.
Had the Hysteroscopy on the 27th July and got the result letter last Friday which says it is non diagnostic due to insufficient sample and further biopsy is recommended
just looking for any advice as this has been going on for 6 months now and I have had no more communication from the hospital although I am in Scotland and aware there are long waiting lists. Has anyone else had pain like this whilst waiting? It is not anxiety as it wakes me up during the night as well.

I am sorry to hear that you have been having some pelvic pain and bleeding.
I would suggest going back to your GP and explaining that the Nefopam is not having a full effect and see if there is something else that can be prescribed. The GP may also be able to chase up the hospital to find out when the further biopsy may be able to take place. It may also be worth asking whether there is a short notice cancellation list and whether you could be called if they have a cancellation etc.
If there is an email address for the consultant's secretary on your result letter, you could also contact the hospital directly. As you only had the results letter last week, it may well be that there is another one on the way with an appointment. I know for me sometimes the hospital letters could take a week to arrive.
If at any point you have severe pain, or heavy bleeding then this would be a reason to contact NHS111 for advice.
