womb cancer and endometriosis

I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis of womb cancer. I remember it being a worrying time and it is good that your hysterectomy is being done quickly and will be out of the way.

I did not have any endometriosis but it sounds like your consultant is aware of where the adhesions are and will have planned this into the surgery. I can not remember anyone on here recently that has had endometriosis but hopefully someone who has been through the surgery with it, will come along soon. 

I wish you well for your surgery in a couple of days and in the meantime we are here if you need us.

Hi 

I had hysterectomy 2 years ago. Was going to be incision/vaginal and operation started that way but due to my surgeon finding undiagnosed endometriosis she changed to open surgery. 

I didn’t know this until I came round where my surgeon was there to explain. I am thankful she made the decision she did, I still recovered quite quickly from the surgery but you just have to take it easy xx

I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in November last year, had my full hysterectomy in December. My operation was meant to be done roboticly, however there was a problem with my airways and it ended up being open surgery. I was told the next morning that all endometrial tissue outside my womb was removed and sent for testing. I was lucky and my cancer was confined to my womb. Try not to worry (I know it's not easy), also you should have been given details of your CNS, do contact them as they are very helpful and reassuring. Wishing you all the best for your journey and don't hesitate to reach out.

hi mandrix4 thanks for sharing your experience i appreciate it. I have just had laparoscopic surgery this morning and all went well. surgeon told me before op that it could complicate things but luckily everything went to plan.Hope your doing well.

Glad things went well, was thinking of you. Now you just need to take your time and recover. Put your feet up when you get home with a good book

Im still having check ups and all appears good so far.
