Dear All,

I'm new to this group. I found out i had a large gynaecological tumour on the 6th of February when I was admitted short of breath, with my right lung full of liquid. The treatment I have received from the NHS has been fantastic, and I cannot thank them enough. I have not been able to work since, and I am undergoing treatment so that I can have a second surgery to remove my tumour and complete a hysterectomy (the first surgery was unsuccessful, because the situation was far more complicated than they thought.

My friends and family have been extremely supportive, but i would like to connect with the macmillan community to gain strength and insight from patients with similar issues.

    Welcome to the Womb group.

I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis of a large gynaecological tumour. I am glad that you have had good support from the NHS and it does make a real difference. Having friends and family around can be invaluable however sometimes it can help to connect with others going through similar.

Although many cases of womb cancer begin in the endometrium, it can sometimes start in the muscle of the womb- however you have come to the right place. There are many lovely ladies on here who will want to offer you support. if you have any questions please do ask. We also have the Support Line available from 8am-8pm everyday if it would help to talk things through.

I hope that the treatment that you are currently having is going ok and that your second surgery can go ahead soon.

    Jane
