Hi , I had my surgery on the 14th of April full hysterectomy and my ovaries removed. Am still in pain especially on my left side more than anything, can be painful enough to where it makes me sick

  • Hi Stitch5

    Welcome to the Womb group.

I am sorry to hear that you are still in pain after your surgery. Have you been in touch with your hospital?

There should be a number to call on your discharge paperwork. I think it may be a good idea to give them a call today and explain about the pain. Whilst some discomfort can be normal after a surgery, its now nearly 4 weeks and  if the pain is making you feel sick then it needs looking into. Have you been doing more lately or have you twisted? Have you any signs of an infection eg; feeling unwell, raised temperature?

Give them a call and let them know and hopefully they will be able to give you some better pain relief and reassurance.

You could also give the Macmillan Support Line a call and talk to one of the nurses if it would help.

    Jane

  • Hi thank you for the advice, last week I did push myself and got my daughter from school had to on that had no one else to one last week .
I did go my doctors last week and was just asked to take painkillers I will try the hospital thank you again

  • It may well be due to that. I know when I started to feel ok I did over do it one day and tried some hoovering- I paid for it the following day.

    Hope it settles
