Today have been diagnosed with cancer of the womb, feeling very scared and panicky. Need to go for MRI scan in next couple of weeks. Don’t feel like I have the strength to face this.
Hi Nicky, welcome to the group and to this rollercoaster ride that all of us here are either on at the moment or have been before! We understand! I was diagnosed in November 2021 and had my op in January 2022. Were you given a predicted grade at all? The good news is that you don’t need to feel/be strong to get through this. Trying to be strong is stressful and exhausting and arguably unrealistic. But being pragmatic - getting done what needs to be done next - is doable and realistic and is what got me through. Do you have a date yet for your staging MRI?
Good morning, I haven’t been given a date for the MRI as yet. Consultant was saying they hope to have caught it at an early stage and that I will certainly need a hysterectomy. My fear is that is has spread, iam finding it hard not to catastrophise. Iam quite an anxious person, don’t feel strong at all. Thank you so much for your kind message, it’s good to reflect on not having to be strong as that is exhausting too.
