Hey there, i'm currently having treatment for endometrial cancer which has spread to my lungs.. Anyone else in the same position?!
Mines unfortunate Stage 4 incurable. I had a large tumour that had grown in my uterus, the size of a 4.5 month old baby and had a hysterectomy in April this year... but what no-one knew was that it had gone through my bloodstream and 'seeded' in my lungs...
My surgeon rang me in June to say my cancer was all out and my nodes were clear... he told me to go and live my life and enjoy it as i had a second chance... i did a course of braccytherapy aswell which he advised as i "belt and braces" just to be sure treatment aswell.
I was feeling so good and had healed well.. i had a new job and i had to have a medical.. that's when they found the cancer had already been spreading to my lungs for some time. This was literally a couple of weeks after thinking i was clear. Now i'm on chemo and immuno and trying to stay positive but it's getting harder... im nearly a year in now Anyone else have a similar story?
Hi heartonmysleeve44
Welcome to the Womb group.
I am sorry to hear that your cancer has spread to your lungs. It must have been hard to hear after being told that the initial surgery had gone well.
I suppose in a way it was good that you had the medical and that it was found to give the opportunity for treatment. I understand that it can be hard to remain positive.
How is the chemo and immunotherapy going?
I had chemo myself in 2022 and it was tough at times but not as bad as I was expecting. On the whole any side effects I had were helped with medication.
There are other ladies on here who have got a more advanced diagnosis and some are also having immunotherapy.
I will pop a link to the immunotherapy thread in case you want to have a look.

We also have a thread for ladies who are having chemotherapy. There may well be ladies on there who are having the same treatment.

Hi heartonmysleeve44
I am sorry to hear your recent diagnosis, i wanted to send you hugs and positive energy.
I was recently diagnosed with stage 3c1 and had first chemo yesterday. Although it’s not great to hear your news I am glad the cancer was found in your recent medical and there is opportunity for treatment. Mine was randomly found by accident in a blood test that hadn’t been requested., I don’t even would to consider if that test had not been done.
the macmillans help line is a godsend if you need support and t have felt so grateful to chat on her with the lovely people in this forum who have given me incredible info at a very uncertain time.
i wish you well in your treatment
