Hello everyone.
I’ve just joined as I feel like I need to speak to people who understand.
I had a lot of spotting outwith my period a couple years ago and was found to have 3 polyps grown in my womb. They were found to be pre cancerous and I was treated with the coil.
my subsequent biopsies were normal but now almost a year after having the coil removed I had a another biopsy to check and the doctor has said the cells show signs of change.
has anyone else been through this? I don’t have any kids and was planning on starting a family soon so as expected I’m heartbroken because it feels like I can’t move on.
I know it’s not the end of the world and I should consider myself lucky but I also have a history of cancer in the family so I would appreciate any advice or if you can share your experiences. ️
Isn't it possible for you to have the coil fitted again, if only to buy some time whilst you make up your mind? Have they said what the changes are exactly? If it's cancer, then I would ask at what stage/grade it is. I would seek answers to many questions to make an informed decision and that alone might help you feel a bit better. Good luck!
