Re-attempting hysteroscopy as can't have general anaesthetic due to having burnt out Takayasu in upper arteries.
Been told a consultant will do the procedure and will give local to the cervix as I have retroflexed uterus of 90 degrees to the cervix that tilts forward. So it's awkward. I am worried as smears alone are difficult and as of late could not be completed. I posted previously about 2wks ago and wanted to thank you for all the advice shared then too. It's needed as MRI and internal ultrasound don't give a clear picture so an MDT will take place once completed to see what this mass is and whether surgery needed.
Ask if you can have gas and air before they do the local. Take ibuprofen or paracetamol about an hour beforehand too. It wasnt pleasant but it didnt last long and I've had worse pain. Having a more experienced person doing it will help.
Thank you. I tried but was told can't have gas and air when I asked as have emphysema and everything I was told would be in place wasn't. Have been referred for epidural now.
I hope that works, you are having a hard time.
