Hello, I'm new, never join anything normally but hey, don't feel normal, still finding my feet Disappointed .vi have endometrial cancer, also spread to lymph nodes. 2nd chemo tomorrow, with cold capping. Cut my long hair yesterday to a pixie cut as was shredding so much, was so upsetting. Trying to stay positive but my life has changed so much.

  • I’m sorry you are going through this. I go for a kidney scan today I just want to start chemotherapy so at least I’m fighting back. I’m not going to bother with the cap. I am more bothered about getting this thing gone. I can’t have hysterectomy as mine is out the womb and in pelvis lymph node to. I want to start the battle but I’m scared. Your not alone x

  • Hi Besthope

    Welcome to the Womb group.

I am sorry to hear that you are undergoing treatment for endometrial cancer.

I also had chemo (2022) and also used the cooling cap.

Whilst it can be helpful to try to have a positive outlook at times it can help just to go with the flow. Chemo is tough and hair loss is tough and it is natural to have some down days.

I know when I was going through treatment it was tough at times and felt like it would never end- but once I sort of got into the routine of it- it did go quicker than expected.

I hope that your chemo goes well tomorrow- I found that after the first cycle it became a bit easier as I ticked another one off the list and also you know what to expect.

If there is anything you need or want to asl about, please do so. We also have the Support Line available from 8am-8pm daily if you feel that talking things through would help.
