Hi everyone , I’ve just been diagnosed  and awaiting MRI results  . Lisa

  • Hi Lisa

Sorry to hear you've had to join the club.

  • Hi Lisa, welcome to the roller coaster ride! I was diagnosed in late 2021, and had my op and treatment in early 2022. You will find a way through this and we are here to support you - we’ve all either been through it or are going through it so we can relate.

  • Hi Lisa

welcome, do you know when you expect to hear results from MRI?

  • Hi Lisa

    Welcome to the Womb group.

I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis and remember what a worrying time it was.

The purpose of the MRI is to see exactly where the cancer is and to stage it.

From the biopsy and the scan the doctors are able to give a provisional stage and grade and they use this to help work out the most effective treatment.

For most ladies where it is medically possible a hysterectomy is offered. For an early stage and grade cancer this may be enough. For others some follow up treatment may be advised.

There are many lovely ladies on here who will want to offer you support so if there is anything you want to ask about, please do so.

We do have the Support Line available from 8am-8pm daily if you feel like talking things through would help.

  • I have an appointment on Friday

  • Will be thinking of you

  • Good evening sweetheart,

What a journey we are all on. It's the most scariest time off our lives

I have Tvs this forthcoming Friday. To say I'm petrified is an understatement. Waiting is the worst. Facing this all alone is the worst bit of all.

This forum is a god send, sharing our journey with everyone, who's in the same situation, that we can give each other support and virtual hugs when we need it. When it gets too much.

I will keep everything crossed for you. As women we all have strength yo fight this

    Stay strong

  • Hello,
Sorry to hear you've just been diagnosed. That was me two months ago and since then this group has been a fabulous source of information and support.

    Good luck for Friday.
    D.
