Doreen, it sometimes takes a long time to get used to the diagnosis and there is often denial. It's all part of the process but gradually things do get better. Take each day as it comes and good wishes to you.
Denial and; disbelief are normal. I am so sorry that you are going through this but take action while waiting for the feelings to stabilize. Time is important.
