Hi Electra2, that’s good news that your predicted stage is 1A - have you been told the predicted grade?
Hi yes said 1a then check see if any in tummy fat if all is good great can go back to work finally and no pain , biggest downfall partner and myself do not get our own child we both have the stepchidren but he is such a great dad. Cannot have everything in life ️
Yes 1A is the stage - I just wondered if you’d been given a predicted grade (grade and stage are two different things - the terminology can be confusing!) https://www.macmillan.org.uk/cancer-information-and-support/womb-cancer/womb-cancer-stages
1A as in beginning thought could have been stage 2, tests confirmed 1A
Yes indeed that’s the predicted stage - I was asking about the predicted grade which is different. If you have a look at the link I posted for you above you will see. Grades are 1, 2 or 3. No letters. Stages are 1A, 1B, 2, 3A, 3B, 3C etc, but if you don’t know, don’t worry!
I only found out my grade the other day, 10 weeks post op, and 1 week into my treatment, when I received a letter re my post op review at beginning of Jan. Wasn’t given a predicted grade pre op and it wasn’t mentioned at post op review.
Hi was just told 1 and 1a, due it not spread hopefully it is that , does anyone know if counselling out there for couples at all so partner knows what I am dealing with he is not great at showing how he feels it's a problem he has.
Hi Electra
Your provisional grade and stage are positive and suggest that it has been caught at an early stage. The grade means that it is likely that it is slow growing and less aggressive. The post op results will hopefully confirm them. A grade 1 and stage 1a cancer may mean that a hysterectomy is all that is needed. But it is the whole picture post op which will hopefully confirm this.
Having a diagnosis can be hard to cope with and difficult also for those around us. A lot of people find Maggie's | Everyone's home of cancer care helpful. I wonder if there is one near you. You can also ask at your hospital as to what is available.
My GP has a counsellor attached to the practice and it may be worth asking at yours.
I have recently done the HOPE course and found it helpful.

Both of you are also welcome to call the Support Line at any point if you feel like talking things through would help.
