Hi
I’m new and wanted to say hello.
I had a full hysterectomy on Tuesday after biopsy from hysteroscopy and removal of what they thought was a fibroid turned out to be suspicious. The biopsy said they couldn’t rule out cancer and I needed mri and ct. the mri revealed a mass in my uterus that is likely to be malignant and planned total hysterectomy. I haven’t got a definate diagnosis yet but told that it is either endometrial stromal sarcoma or an endometrial stump.
I find it hard to understand why they don’t know what it is, most things I’ve read on here most people have a diagnosis from the biopsy before the hysterectomy. I’ve now got a 4-5 week wait before the histology is back post op - also seems a longer wait than most.

I had two biopsies due to 2 instances of post menopausal bleeding. Both were negative. I had the polyp removed that was seen during the hysterscopy and that is where cancer was discovered.
