For the first time in this cancer battle ( or even the last one 10 years ago) I have not felt good about the care I received.

Had my second follow up today...the doctor basically blew off everything I aaid . I've been having spotting for about 3.5 weeks.   She said maybe I irritated my skin from wiping . I've had blood and discharge coming out from inside ....I feel it coming out
Told her I've been having some pain as well as diarrhea .....she said I probably have a bug
Told her about foul smelling discharge..she said maybe I have a yeast infection.
In her defense she didn't see anything suspicious in my internal exam .  I asked her about a scan and she said they only do them once a year. This doesn't sound right to me....I'm stage 3C high grade serous with 90% myometrial invasion ..and extensive lymphvasculsr involvement..is one scan a year the standard?
I'm thinking maybe I should go talk to my family doctor.  Shes very thorough and easy to talk to.

I am sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience with your follow up appointment today.

My feeling- and I am not medically trained but I also have a high grade cancer- is that the symptoms you are describing may well have more minor causes but you are right to bring them up and I feel that if they are not offering a scan then what is the follow up? Something is causing the symptoms.

I would personally make an appointment with my GP and explain your symptoms and what you have been told, ask if some monitoring/treatment can be done for a couple of weeks and if no change then could you be referred for a scan to be on the safe side. It sounds like you have a better relationship with your GP and if the symptoms are caused by more minor ailments then they should respond quickly to GP treatment- if they don't then a scan seems a reasonable thing to ask for.

Whilst it is reassuring that nothing was seen on the internal exam it does not mean that something may be brewing elsewhere. So trust your instincts- you know your body and if it doesn't feel right, then I would recommend GP in next few days. Could be an infection, thrush, stomach bug etc- but better safe than sorry.

if you want to chat it through first then do give the Support Line a call but I would personally be contacting GP in the am for an appointment.
