Hi, I had a full hysterectomy about 3 months ago. Still being monitored but so far all ok. Have had pain from hard scar tissue. Hospital recommended E45. Doesn't seem to be doing a lot. Just wondering if anyone has tried anything else?
I think we need to stick with it. Rubbing Zerobase ( same as E45) into my husband's scars after hip op help to keep the area pliable and the skin softened. Did this every day for 3 months. He has offered, but I am attending to my own scars post hysterectomy and radiotherapy. I Think the rubbing motion also helps. Must admit, I only started 8 weeks after the op. Hope this helps.
Hi May40
I used tamanu balm ( I asked my CNS first) after surgery, during chemo (when I had irritated skin) and during radiotherapy (to help prevent any burns. I bought it from Tropic and now wouldn't use anything else. It also keeps my eczema at bay.

Thanks very much - useful to see if it has helped others.
I had no burns and no irritation to my skin during radiotherapy. I used it everyday after speaking to the radiotherapists. I used it morning and night and in between occasionally. You only need a tiny amount.
You can buy it via the Tropic Skincare website and it's called Tamanu Balm All-in-one Skin Saviour.
