I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer 2021.It was found to be aggressive and a Hysterectomy was advised.Hysterectomy completed was taken to itu which I was prepared for due to a heart condition. Was discharged 24hours later .No information given whatsoever.Did not feel well for 2days On day 3called out of hours help line who advised me to come back into hospital. On being seen was told it may be a tummy bug that was the last thing I remember for 2weeks.It turns out I had perforated bowel lost 8pints of blood and a large haematoma below my tummy which I  couldn't see.As a result of this I had an abdominal resection with an irreversible stoma and also my rectum removed.I was discharged after 6weeks 2 of these being in itu on a ventilator.Four months later I had three bracytherapy treatments .In June 2022I had received no calls or followup appointments so phone I contactedCSN who was surprised to hear this .A week later I was seen in outpatients. The First thing I asked was where the complications due to the Hysterectomy and was told yes. Before discharge nobody told me that .Here I am a 14months later nearly back to my normal self with the help and support of my wonderful family. Can look forward  now to a different future but hopefully a healthy one.
