Difference between endometrial and uterine cancer

Hi , I received my diagnosis on 11th Aug.
I have been on progesterone but the doc is sending me for a MRI tomorrow because he thinks the cancer went into the uterus wall or began there. He didn’t explain why he suspects this.

I have been struggling to cope since he told me this. I feel every ache and I’m convinced its a muscular ache on the right hand side of my womb and now convinced its uterine cancer.

Does anyone know if uterine cancer is as slow growing as endometrial cancer?

Did you have these muscular aches??

Does progesterone also help with uterine cancer?

I had the endometrial cancer 6 mths before it was diagnosed.

If any ladies can shed any light I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks xxx

  • Hi

They're all the same thing - the Womb, the Uterus and the Endometrium.

Until someone may have an answer why not call the freephone Macmillan support, shown below and ask a nurse. You could also type Progesterone in the search bar at the top of this page where you'll find some answers.

    Sending hugs, Barb x
