Hi all so I’m nearly 3 weeks post hysterectomy and I think I’m recovering well. (Robot hysterectomy) Being good and sticking to no lifting etc but doing 2 x 30 min walks a day to keep me active.
got the phone call today to go back to clinic on Thursday. They were hopeful that a total hysterectomy would be all I need to treat my cancer so fingers crossed that remains the same news. Then I’m just waiting on genetics still. Good luck to anyone else getting results this week
Hi Runner 54
I'm 3 weeks post op tomorrow pretty much back to normal other than no lifting I feel really good and ok walking for about 30 mins upping that again tomorrow, my appointment for my results are booked in for the 20th March , my surgeon was on his holidays last week so if my results are back they are in a queue and well no news is good news until I hear otherwise I am cancer free... Hi wow update but good new ..my Surgeon/oncologist has phoned me this morning totally out of the blue ..but great news it restaged as 1B but still in the womb I have been referred to Clatterbridge which is my local Cancer Centre for adjuvant treatment as the Tumor was a Grade 3 and I have MHS6 Lynch , I was expecting that I may need radiotherapy or and chemo because of this and I have an appointment with Genetics but SOOO happy , hoping you get good news on Thursday xx
Preventative treatment due to the Grade 3 its quite common when I looked into it so not surprised and also with the Genetic cancer /Lynch so I read is as mopping up anything that they cant see not sure if Radiotherapy or Chemo but I will take all of it if need be .
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
