After 23 session of external beam Radiotherapy
2 session of Bracktherapy
4 cycles of Paclitaxel and carboplatin
Finally rang that bell !
So many emotions!
What am I now .
What is My New Normal !
good question, people are saying to me are you going to be dancing, holidaying all the time when this is over? So I am also beginning to think about what my “new normal” will be. Day 2 of treatment for me and have already found a holiday I want to do in June next year, plus a tentative one in September this year. Gotta to have goals.
Such great news, go and enjoy your new normal like you no idea what it will be I am just at the start of my journey but this group gives so much help and hope that I cannot wait to have a new normal and I hope I will have the widest smile ..people will probably think I am mad smiling away and say hello to people ..I feel every day is a good day and it will only get better.
Best of luck
I am off on holiday over Easter and booked a cruise for July .looking forward is the best way ..
Good luck on your journey your half way there!!
Thank you !!
I was diagnosed back in April 24 giving initial staging after MRI
.hysterectomy in July 24 that was the worse part waiting 12 weeks for my Op .. three weeks later staging was upgraded.
Middle of September 24 I began 25 sessions of Radiotherapy 23 external 2 Bracktherapy. Finished end of October.
Chemotherapy began end of November
Paclitaxel and Carboplatin..tolerated this treatment really well ..
Yes everyday is a good day ..taking one day at a time is the best way !
I found looking to the future helped I booked a holiday for over easter and a cruise for July.
At the start of the journey it feels never ending but you get there ! I am looking forward to my new normal whatever that may be !,
This group has been amazing!!

Well done.
My treatment was almost the same and I remember the feeling when I did that last radiotherapy.
I wish you well with your continued recovery.
Give yourself time to process it all and heal. So many emotions is how I felt.
Might be worth having a look at the Hope course. I did it recently and it helped me.

Thank you Jane x will have a look at tye course Maggies also do one thinking of arranging to attend x
A lot of people find Maggies really helpful, unfortunately there isn't one near me. I liked the Macmillan one because it was online and you can dip in and out of it as much as you want. You could always do both if you want.
There maybe other places near you that you could get support from, if you call the Support Line and give your area, they will be able to advise you.
